Doodle
After a couple of weeks hiatus I've recovered from a little op and I'm itching to get back to it. Though I'm really feeling the rust. Not only that, but a real lack of patience. I guess it's a bit of anxiety - Pretty soon I'm hoping to have the money in place to launch myself as a freelancer proper, with a portfolio, store, business cards ,clients and a business hat. This anxiousness doesn't lend itself to sitting calmly and enjoying the process of doodling and colouring at the moment. I want to chew bricks, smash doors and kick like an industrial kicking machine....A combination of waiting for emails and meetings, lots of 'resting up' and having some ambitions that outweigh your resources will do that....
At least I made something today, even if it is a quick doodle. Not 100% happy with it, but it's not a finished piece, just wanted to see if I could incorporate some of the items from previous pictures together without cluttering the place up too much- or ending up with a bunch of colours that didn't sit together. So here are two versions of that doodle. I prefer the Orange sky version, but the bluer one could - with a little more lassoing- get to something halfway decent. It just lost a lot of contrast around the building, and flattened out too far. But composition wise, neither of them are what I was after...I think returning to the pencil book might be a way ahead in that respect.
Back soon! Thanks for reading the ramblings of a gone wrong man mental x
